10 Ways To Get More Energy Instantly!

Tired of being tired? Yeah, we hear you. But thanks to the energy wizards over at BLOOM Tea, we now ten super easy ways to help you feel energized and stay energized and you can start putting into practice NOW…

1. Exercise.

When you are feeling worn out, exercise is the last thing you want to do, however it’s proven that a little physical activity releases endorphins, which will give you a positive and happy state of mind. You’ll soon be running back to the gym for more!

2. Avoid afternoon coffee.

As the day drags on we all feel fatigued late afternoon and some of us tend to pep up our attention with a coffee. The caffeine ‘hit’ does the job, but only for a very short while before the ‘crash’ kicks and this extreme swing doesn’t do your adrenal glands any good. In fact, you’ll feel more exhausted so you’ll repeat the cycle, which slowly drains your immune system too.

3. Eat less sugar.

Avoid refined sugars and artificially sweetened drinks and snacks. Start paying attention to the traffic- light warnings on packaging and you’ll be shocked how excessive your daily sugar intake probably is. Try stocking up on healthier high protein snacks, nuts and berries instead.

4. Don’t miss meals.

Studies show that eating regular meals, including breakfast, provides more regular energy release throughout the day. Fuel your body with a balanced diet that includes all food groups and you may even choose to supplement your diet with essential vitamins and minerals. Overall your mood and wellbeing will improve.

5. Drink more water.

It seems obvious, but we work long hours and neglect our fluid intake. A dehydrated body is a tired body. You should be drinking at least 2litres of water every day to keep your body ticking along nicely.

6. Enjoy a morning matcha shot.

Kick-start your day with 1⁄2 a teaspoon organic matcha (powdered green tea) whisked into your morning juice, smoothie, latte or simply shake it up in your water bottle. BLOOM’s matcha only has 26mg caffeine per cup, which is a quarter of coffee and amazingly it lasts for up to 4 hours so there is no spike and no crash like coffee. Try a 100% natural way to stay alert and feel calm.

7. Do yoga.

A stressed mind results in a tired and restless body. Allocate one hour each week to de-stress and re-align yourself and you will soon notice a welcomed increase in your energy.

8. Inflate your ego.

Yes, you read that correctly. Increased self-confidence is shown to improve energy levels. Jot down on a piece of paper what you love about you and watch your energy levels rise. Go on, give it a try.

9. Lay off the alcohol before bed.

Have you noticed that after a night of drinking, your sleeping is disturbed? Reduce your alcohol intake for a better night’s sleep. You will wake up feeling refreshed and re-charged.

10. Wear bright clothes.

Sounds silly, but bright colours such as greens and blues are known to activate neurons in the brain that elevate energy levels.
