2. Avoid afternoon coffee.
As the day drags on we all feel fatigued late afternoon and some of us tend to pep up our attention with a coffee. The caffeine hit does the job, but only for a very short while before the crash kicks and this extreme swing doesnt do your adrenal glands any good. In fact, youll feel more exhausted so youll repeat the cycle, which slowly drains your immune system too.
3. Eat less sugar.
Avoid refined sugars and artificially sweetened drinks and snacks. Start paying attention to the traffic- light warnings on packaging and youll be shocked how excessive your daily sugar intake probably is. Try stocking up on healthier high protein snacks, nuts and berries instead.
4. Dont miss meals.
Studies show that eating regular meals, including breakfast, provides more regular energy release throughout the day. Fuel your body with a balanced diet that includes all food groups and you may even choose to supplement your diet with essential vitamins and minerals. Overall your mood and wellbeing will improve.
5. Drink more water.
It seems obvious, but we work long hours and neglect our fluid intake. A dehydrated body is a tired body. You should be drinking at least 2litres of water every day to keep your body ticking along nicely.
6. Enjoy a morning matcha shot.
Kick-start your day with 1⁄2 a teaspoon organic matcha (powdered green tea) whisked into your morning juice, smoothie, latte or simply shake it up in your water bottle. BLOOMs matcha only has 26mg caffeine per cup, which is a quarter of coffee and amazingly it lasts for up to 4 hours so there is no spike and no crash like coffee. Try a 100% natural way to stay alert and feel calm.
7. Do yoga.
