With the news that Prince Harry and Cressida were spotted in Byron, here's Company's fave foodie chain stores.
Byron –Company's Gemma Royston-Claire
Why it rocks: Hello themed burger of the month! I may have got slightly addicted to the Triple Cheesemas burger… My thighs are glad that monthly spesh is over.
What to snack on: The office debate is raging. I LOVE the Bacon cheeseburger and the mac & cheese. And a chocolate milkshake (don't judge) but Features Editor Lena likes the skinny burger, and for Fashion Features Writer Alexxsia it's all about the chicken burger!
Celeb who love it as much as us: Prince Harry was spotted with Cressida Bonas at Byron, need we say more?
Why it's better than a 5* restaurant: The interior of each branch is different, with rustic touches like retro school chairs and unpainted walls. It's the chain that doesn't look like a chain!
Average spend: About £20 if you're on the milkshake instead of the booze like me!
Yo Sushi- Company's Lena DeCasparis
What to snack on: Favourites of ours include cali rolls (avocado heaven) and anything tempura (ummm, fried goodness!) and the Chicken Katsu curry always good for a cold day!
Celeb who love it as much as us: We – yes us personally – saw the boys from 1D leaving the Poland Street branch after a lunch. Gok Wan is also a fan, according to the brand’s FB page.
Why it's better than a 5* restaurant: Food served on a conveyer belt just tastes better. FACT.
Average spend: Right now grab the Blue plate special: 50 dishes - £2.50 each - STARTS January 6th
Pizza Express- Company's Alexxsia Elizabeth
What to snack on: If you’ve not had dough balls. You’ve not lived. Apparently they’ve been on their menu for FORTY-FIVE years! Proof is in the ball.
Celeb who love it as much as us: Victoria Beckham and the kids, JLS’ Oritsé Williams, PM David and wife Sam Cam as well as Joey Essex and his #GoldenDoughBall …
Why it's better than a 5* restaurant: Gluten free option galore. The Italian chain offers coeliac sufferers and those with a phobia of bread a great range of options for both pizza and pasta meals and even beer. You can also pay your bill on their app using PayPal.
Average spend: Soooo cheap. Plus their site has offers all the time, right now you can get 40% off food on Sundays after 5pm and all day Monday-Thursday until the 2nd Feb.
Wagamamas- Company's Carlene Thomas-Bailey
What to snack on: If you are on a healthy eating month, chow down on the yummy gyoza dumplings and fresh juices. If you want your meal to pack a punch, it’s all about the popular option breaded chicken and thick katsu curry sauce. The hot soups are perfect when the London weather is cold too.
Celeb who love it as much as us: Twitter reports the singer Michael Buble has frequented, 1D’s Niall Horan and even Tom Hanks!
Why it's better than a 5* restaurant: It actually beat the Ivy – in a foodie survey by Zagat food guide in 2008, thanks to the good food for a good price vibe.
Average spend: I signed up to the email with a voucher when I was a student and I still get vouchers regularly. You’ll get a full meal and plum wine for under £20 anyway!
Nandos- Company's Carlene Thomas-Bailey
Why it rocks: How do I love thee... let me count the ways: one, the succulent chicken grilled in front of you, two- the piri-piri sauce in a range of flavors from spicy hot to mango and lime, three- the chips and the refillable drinks. What's not to love?
What to snack on: How hungry are you? Because you can go as small as the Piri Piri chicken in pitta bread with Halloumi cheese (yum!!) or as big as a whole chicken with chips and coleslaw sides. It has it all.
Celeb who love it as much as us: You’ve got mega music man Jay Z, and Queen B. Beckham frequents, there’s that instagram of Little Mix about to head in to a branch, and JLS chewing chicken. But my fave Nandos eater is Snoop Dogg!
Why it's better than a 5* restaurant: You head to the counter and pay first, then sit and eat- so no more time at the end of the meal arguing over the bill.
Average spend: You can get change of a tenner if you go small, and change of twenty quid if you go big. Or you can be a celebrity with the infamous Black Card and pay nothing.
