Cool New Music Of The Week: #MusicMonday

AU REVOIR SIMONE – SOMEBODY WHO

Amid all of the familiar Mariah and Wham jingles ringing our ears this holiday season, it’s nice to take a well earned break and listen to something new that is just great. Au Revoir Simone are that band. These three gorgeous girls hailing from Brooklyn are back after a 4-year gap between their last album (Still Night, Still Light) and we couldn’t be happier about their return.

Somebody Who is the first single from the keyboard-trio’s latest album offering- Move in Spectrums. Heather, Annie and Erika have recently announced they’ll be back on the road in the New Year, on a supporting European tour with Broken Bells (yay!). They’ll be playing in London on the 20th Feb, so get your tix quick. Download the alb from iTunes HERE now!

SPRING OFFENSIVE – THE RIVER

As awesome as it is, let’s just forget about the song is for a second to stop and ask, how on earth do you fill an entire car (a Twitter fans’ Pergeout 107 to be precise) full of water? A lot of duct tape and rubber sealant apparently…

Taken from their forthcoming debut album Young Animal Hearts this Oxford 5-piece are strumming their way into our hearts and onto our playlist. We suggest you do the same. Pre-order HERE from Pledge Music.
