10 Things You Need To Know About The 2015 IMS

If you've been to Ibiza before but never hit the IMS - you're missing out big time! The International Music Summit is an educational, inspirational and motivational thought leadership platform dedicated to creating awareness of, and appreciation for, electronic music... and here's 10 things you need to  know about it:

1. IMS hosts major events annually in Ibiza, Los Angeles and now Singapore to celebrate the artistry related to DJing through events that celebrate the historic and ongoing contribution of the genre to art and culture worldwide.

2. Created in 2007 and presented by Pete Tong, The International Music Summit was set up to inspire debate, discuss and help implement change in electronic music.

3. Littered with Rock n Roll memorabilia, there really is no better HQ for International Music Summit than the legendary Hard Rock Cafe Ibiza. Situated in the trendy Paseo Vara de Rey, Hard Rock Cafe also ensures you won't do anything on an empty stomach!

4. Even if you're not lucky enough to be sunning yourself in Ibiza between panels, you can catch Australian electronic sensations Nervo in interview Thursday from 16:35 on the official IMS website

IMS are hosting an OpenLab poolside session from 1pm-6pm every day from the Hard Rock Ibiza Tower - and you can enjoy it even if you can't be there by streaming it online on the official IMS website!

5. One of the highlights of IMS is their famed Dalt Vila parties, taking place at the famous Ibizan heritage site. This year, Luciano, Pete Tong, Sven Vath and a very special live show from Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons fill Thursday's billing, with young guns Rudimental, MK, Zhu, Kidnap Kid and Thalab heading up a Black Butter Records showcase on Friday. Tickets range from €45 for the day, to €80 for both gigs, but if you can't be there, BE@TV will be streaming the whole thing online!

6. If you feel like the wealth of dance music royalty on display at IMS' Dalt Vila events isn't enough, Pacha are hosting a very special after party starring German house music don Tensnake!

7. Taking place on the Friday of the event, The Great IMS Ibiza Debate is always the most populated panel discussion of the summit. Moderated this year by Greg O'Halloran, the director of Ibiza Spotlight, the discussion will feature Defected's Simon Dunmore, Music On's Ernesto Senatore, We Love at Sankeys' Darren Hughes and Cafe Mambo's Director of Marketing and Events Christian Anadon.

8. For all the serious discussion that comes with IMS Ibiza, there's always time to let your hair down and indulge in all the glamour that the island's dance events have to offer. If you want to keep on trend with the island's hottest looks, Blowout Ibiza have you covered. Their bespoke hair and make up service caters to all at any time of day. You can visit them at one of their many pop-ups across the island or better yet, they will come to you!

9. Saturday brings with it a very special celebration at Ushuaia. In association with IMS and The Night League, Andrea Oliva will be launching his forthcoming album '4313' from 5pm until midnight! Joining Andrea on the decks will be Jimi Jules and Clara Da Costa - definitely not one to miss out on!

10. If by the time Sunday comes you're not ready to go home quite yet, you can hit Guy Gerber's world renowned RUMOURS party from 5pm at Beachouse IBIZA. With surprise DJ guests and a set from Mr. Gerber himself, Sundays are an excuse to do anything but wind down!

With so much going on across the island throughout IMS, make sure you stay on top of things with the official International Music Summit schedule. Alternatively, you can download their handy app and keep the information in the palm of your hand at all times!
