Google‘s Awesome Plan To Make Spoilers A Thing Of The Past

Heard about the Games of Thrones or Pretty Little Liars season finale before you saw it?

Then there's great news, as the annoying act of accidentally reading the spoilers for your favourite films and TV shows may be a thing of the past.

Turns out Google was recently awarded a patent that may protect us from having our favourite programs spoiled by our social media feeds.

It works by tracking which television shows or movies you’re in to, then filtering out the info related to the films you haven’t seen yet or are in the process of watching.

The patent information also suggests that info that will clearly warn you if a post includes any spoilers. Amazing!

The patern doesn't however, yet verify which of our favourite social networking sites the awesome sounding spoiler repelling device will affect and we shouldn’t get our hopes up any time soon say Time Magazine who explain that “Large companies like Google aren’t required to turn a patented technology into reality, and even if they do, it can take several years."

But with Netflix releasing so many series at the same time and online streaming catering for all us film lovers and TV series junkies - the sooner Google release their spoiler-repelling programme to the world, the BETTER.
