Go behind the scenes with hot gossip, exclusive pics and video from Alexa Chung's cool Company cover shoot...
'She was such a sweetie - no sign of any prima donna behaviour whatsoever. Rather than making a grand entrance, with a big entourage in tow, she sneaked in so quietly no one even noticed! She's even prettier in the flesh - really fresh-faced - with a great dress sense (she arrived in a funky hat).
Her modest beauty team consisted of a make-up artist and her local hairdresser, George. He was the one she trusted to swap her long locks for a sexy crop, and on the day, he gave her tresses a quick trim. We kicked off proceedings with some yummy Thai food, and while Alexa performed her magic in front of the camera (she's a complete natural, as you'd imagine), she kept us entertained by pulling funny faces and poses. We gossiped about everything from fashion to friends to her biggest obsession, music, and by the end of the day, we all felt like she was our best mate!
The only thing that made her go all coy was boy talk, particularly when it came to the bloke she she's supposed to be getting very close to, Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner.
We all wanted to check out the songs on her iPod, so we had it blaring out all her cool tracks - but when an Arctic Monkeys song came on, she got really embarrassed and quickly flicked it to the next one. She fell in love with the clothes we'd lined up for her. She said one outfit - a long purple satin dress - was a bit too grown up for her. But her fave outfit of the day was the one she wears on the cover - a gorgeous, Paul and Joe mini-dress. She said it really complemented her style and was spot-on. When our work was done, she and the crew hot-footed it to east London's latest celeb haunt, Shoreditch House, to wind down over some drinks. Yup, we know... it's a hard life."
