When Kelly Brook creeps into the Company cover shoot, most of the team don't even realise she's arrived. Partly because she arrives completely on her own - no bodyguard, no PR, no agent, partly because she was ten minutes early (it's normal for celebrities to arrive at least an hour late for a shoot) and partly because her hair was a mass of surprisingly natural curls and for a second we didn't recognise her. 'The reason for my curly hair,' she explains gesturing to her head 'is that I had no hot water this morning,' she laughs. 'People don't realise I've actually got naturally curly hair.' Thankfully, Kelly's hair stylist is on hand to sort out any potential bad hair days (he's worked with her for years and gives her glowing reports.)
The shoot gets off to a roaring start and Kelly emerges, looking amazing in a gorgeous Karen Millen sparkly gold dress. She can't get enough of the mambo music blasting out of the ipod and treats us to a rendition of a Beyonce booty shake. 'I must by this CD for Billy he'd love it,' she laughs.
Over lunch, Kelly has us all roaring with laughter as she tells us about tales of her life in LA. Stories involve rollerblading nuns and queuing out the door for a lunch of chicken with maple syrup and waffles. And though she loves life in LA, it seems Kelly's only too happy to get back to life on her Kent farm where she likes nothing better than a good old British cuppa.
As Kelly poses in the sparkly, mirrored box (that's been specially designed for her) its easy to tell she's a natural model, but though there isn't an ounce of fat on her perfectly formed body, that doesn't mean she's body conscious. In fact, later she tucks into two bars of chocolate (a Flake and a Twix if you're interested). And her top tip about staying in shape has nothing to do with what you eat and everything to do with your love life.
Later, as the shoot draws to a close, we ask Kelly if she needs us to organise a car home, but right at that moment the studio door creeps open and Kelly's own personal chauffeur has arrived - her fiance Billy Zane. After a quick round of introductions and a peek at Kelly's shots (which Billy thought looked amazing - bless), the couple head off home for a quiet night in together - a rarity since Kelly's started Strictly Come Dancing. She may be a proper, bona-fide A-lister, but Kelly Brook's certainly no Hollywood diva! Thank goodness for that.
